ISAB S.r.l.: Innovation and technology at Priolo Gargallo petrochemical hub

EUROME FOR ISAB S.r.l.
ISAB SRL, located in the petrochemical hub of Priolo Gargallo (SR), is one of Europe’s largest industrial companies. With a refining capacity of 320,000 barrels per day and 4 million cubic meters of storage between products and raw materials, ISAB is a key reference point in the European energy industry. The site is divided into three production areas-SOUTH Plants, NORTH Plants and I.G.C.C. (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle)-and employs more than 1,000 people, who manage high-intensity daily operations.

The need

In such a complex environment, ISAB has recognized the importance of investing in the digitization of its processes in order to remain competitive and ready to meet market challenges. Recently, the company completed a major technology upgrade, refurbishing more than 800 devices, including:

  • ThinkBook 14 Notebook
  • ThinkPad 14S
  • Desktop M75
  • Monitor T24MV-30
  • Miscellaneous Accessories

These tools are essential to ensure operational efficiency and continuity in daily work in a 24/7 environment. The project required logistical complex, involving sensitive areas such as control rooms, docks, and tank farms.

 

A strategic partnership with Eurome and Lenovo

The partnership with Eurome and Lenovo was instrumental in the success of this digitization project. Giorgio Melilli, CIO of ISAB, stressed the importance of this partnership, calling it a “success story” thanks to the quality of the technological solutions and the impeccable support received at every stage.
